Between now and whenever the CD is finally complete I will be selling Avon and putting all profits into the "Free Therapy" budget. Tracking is close to finished, but we still have to mix everything, master everything, finish the graphics, have the CDs pressed, and publicize it all. There's a lot of money still needed to get it all done!
How can you help? Buy some Avon! Every $25.00 order will get a free CD upon completion, as well as an entry into a raffle for a fab Avon gift-basket (that I'll be creating soon--details will be posted later)!
What could be better? You get fantastic, quality beauty needs (and more!), you get to help a struggling artist achieve her dream, and you get a copy of the finished product (autographed by me). It's a win-win-win!
You don't have to be local to participate--Avon is everywhere!
To shop/order visit my online store at www.youravon.com/kimdavidson. Please choose "direct delivery" when placing your order, and remember to enter the coupon code "FSANY" to get FREE SHIPPING!
Thank you for your continued encouragement and support!

P.S. Men--Avon has products for you, too--and your girlfriends, sisters, wives, mothers, aunts, nieces, daughters will all love anything you buy for them. The holidays are coming after all...
The Official (Short) Bio:
Kim Davidson’s entertainment career is as varied as it is long. Over the past 20 years her performance history has included musical theater and dance, film and television work, a cruise ship revue, a variety of cabaret and dinner theater acts, two acoustic duos, one wedding band, and two country bands performing covers before she finally set out on her own to fulfill the dream of performing her own music. As a writer Kim has a penchant for melancholy, love-lorn fare. She balances moody, emotional lyrics against often upbeat melody lines, while her voice lends itself with a range and scope of sound few possess, running the gamut from fragile to sultry to bring-the-house-down & every nuance in between. Kim is a graduate of AMDA, New York and current student of Andover Educators, studying to teach the course “What Every Musician Needs To Know About The Body.” Her debut album, “Free Therapy” is set for release in mid-2008.
"A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME" by KD
So I'm somewhere between step 1 and step 4,372... long way to go, but I can look back on a few milestones and smile or grimace as the case may be.
Where'd I start? In the neighborhood. "The sun'll come out tomorrow, betcha bottom dollar that tomorrow there'll be sun..." At the top of my lungs, with the help of many other "orphans" 'til the neighbors wanted to just take us out with slingshots or whatever was handy.
Went on to be a musical theater maven in high school, and even went off to New York for official study at the American Musical & Dramatic Academy. Our housing was directly on top of the famed Beacon Theater... can't wait to play there some day, just for the full-circle-ness of it.
Did some cruise ship work, was a lounge lizard for a brief time, then entered the nunnery and learned about the non-glory of being the company swing.
Next was wedding band hell. Play that funky music to the luh-uh-uhve shack. It wasn't for me.
Acoustic duo here I come! Jumped through some hoops for some people you could meet here on MySpace, and was ultimately not rewarded for the efforts. Oh, the circuit is so cliquey and boys like to swing their you-know-whats around for all the world to cower at. You want in on the circuit? Beg me... Beat it!
I was successful anyway, and yet still unfulfilled. Needed a little more twang in my groove. Started playing in a country band by the name of DiggerDawg, and soon traded up to another band which we called STAMPEDE. After a year-and-a-half we ended the ride to pursue our individual hearts' desires.
For me, there was always that little part of my soul that still needed flexing. It's a little too cranky for country. A little too poetic I was told by some people at TAXI. Well, it is what it is. I write what demands writing in the moment and if it doesn't fit in the proper slot, so be it. Hopefully some of you will like it anyway.

every little girl is a goddess until they are taught not to be..put in a box and never allowed to run free..but the inner child still peeps out at the world..i see i see the grown woman but i miss the little girl..the inner child likes to run wild like flowers dancing in a field..but we pave them over with more stone walls to build..and walking down the sidewalk i see a flower breaking through..and women of the world i also see the goddess the little girl in you.

"Just as unhurried as it is precious and reflective. The atmosphere is serene; you’ll pick
every word that is uttered and find a world that normally goes at a million miles an hour
slow to a relaxing canter. "
